Since 1911 Schmidt’s has been instrumental in uniting buyers and sellers of Art and Antiques through the process known as Auctions.  We hold two types of auctions: our monthly Friday Night Auctions, and cataloged sales which are held several times a year, we call our Gallery Auctions.  In each environment we strive to make the entire process simple, honest, and productive for both parties. For individual sellers and estates, we can provide appraisal, pick-up, inventory, photography, research, cataloging, advertising, and sale of one item or an entire collection.  Advertising can be targeted to specific audiences through traditional print media and various online vehicles, we have also developed extensive mailing lists and an active Facebook page to provide up to date information to collectors and potential buyers worldwide.  Our facilities and systems have all been designed and purpose built in order to produce high level auctions for the sale of your Antiques and Fine Art Collections.

Appraisals

Selling so many antiques and collectables each month puts us at a great advantage when appraising the market value of your collection. This combined with our experience and knowledge, enables us to give you an up to date picture of your collection’s true worth. We do both Estate Appraisals and Insurance Appraisals depending on your individual needs. When planning an insurance appraisal we usually advise clients to speak with their insurance agents first, to find out exactly what the carrier requires in an appraisal.
