Selling your Antiques through Schmidt’s

Since 1911 Schmidt’s has been instrumental in uniting buyers and sellers of Art and Antiques through the process known as Auctions.  We hold two types of auctions:  an un-cataloged monthly sale, which is our Friday Night Auction, and cataloged sales which are held several times a year, known as our Gallery Auction.  We strive to make the entire process simple, honest, and productive for both parties. For individual sellers and estates, we can provide appraisal, pick-up, inventory, photography, research, cataloging, advertising, and sale of one item or an entire collection.  Advertising can be targeted to specific audiences through traditional print media and various online vehicles, we have also developed extensive mailing lists and an active Facebook page to provide up to date information to collectors and potential buyers worldwide.  Our facilities and systems have all been designed and purpose built in order to produce high level auctions for the sale of your Antiques and Fine Art Collections.

Please contact us at 734-434-2660 to inquire about including your antiques in one of our upcoming auctions

Selling so many antiques and collectables each month puts us at a great advantage when appraising the market value of your collection. This combined with our experience and knowledge, enables us to give you an up to date picture of your collection’s true worth. We do both Estate Appraisals and Insurance Appraisals depending on your individual needs. When planning an insurance appraisal we usually advise clients to speak with their insurance agents first, to find out exactly what the carrier requires in an appraisal.

Next time you have a camera out for a holiday or event, take photos or video of the items you really care about and store them away in your safe deposit box, just in case.
